Christmas

Christmas Morning

Sorry the house does not have lights in the front room so you cannot see the video but you can listen to the little voices of excited kids!

Gingerbread Cookies

Eric's preschool class talked a lot about the Gingerbread Man this year reading the story and going on hunts around the school to find him... We made Gingerbread cookies and let them have at it. Ethney enjoyed eating the frosting and mini m&ms while Eric was concerned once he got messy he needed to clean his hands and work area. Notice how many m&ms were placed just on 3 cookies...

Santa Claus & Aakre Update

It turned out that it was not the right time for Amber to go to work it was not working out with the kids and our family it was too hard on everyone. Amber finally decided it was best to quit. Brian was transferred to a job with a good possibility of weekly overtime on Saturdays (so for the time being we wont miss the little money I was making)... We then had time as a family together we were able to get the tree up and take the kids to see Santa (they have been asking daily for awhile)
They were so excited walked right up to him and Eric told him he wanted "Henry" (another train from Thomas & Friends). He then talked 'Thomas' with Santa and loved it! Ethney asked for a white puppy (she has seen at Target) she loves dogs and horses and that is what she wants to ride a horse and a white puppy (this puppy walks on a leash and barks).

Happy Halloween

Cinderella and Thomas the train of course

Still their all time favorites... Although Ethney was pretty torn over 'Belle' we finally got the movie Beauty and the Beast as it was realeased on DVD (I think we watched it daily for about a week now)...

How many photos does it take to get 3 year olds who are too excited to get candy and then too hyped up from all the candy in their buckets to look at the camera (at the same time) and hold still = way too many.

Carving Pumpkins

They were much more willing to dig in and get hands messy compared to last year. All those OT therapy sessions must have helped some :)

School Field Trip

Scholz Farms - The Pumpkin Patch
Ethney's favorite was the horse. She loves horses!

Crafts with Boys vs Girls...

This is the spot Ethney was painting...

This is the spot Eric was painting...

Notice the mess on the wall, the table and the painting plate.
The pictures say it all

Painting Pumpkins

In addition to our large pumpkins that we will wait to carve we let them pick their own small pumpkins and I let them paint them. Here we are painting our little pumpkins.

Pumpkin Patch

For some reason they have been itching to get pumpkins for the past 3 weeks so we made sure we went early this year. They were not too interested in looking at the camera (picture taking was clearly not on the agenda).

Story Time

If you see Ethney lately she has her dog "Doggie" that has to do everything and we mean everything. The dog goes to school with her (stays in the backpack) everywhere this little girl goes and does Doggie is there too. She loves this dog so much!

"Flee Your Glee" Puyallup Fair

As soon as school started this year fall seemed to begin with the rain and we have been hit and miss with rainy days. We went to the fair one evening after Dad got home from work. They loved it! The first thing Ethney wanted to do was of course see the horses and ride the merry go round. Once they went on a ride we could not get them to do anything else spent the entire time in kiddie land riding the rides (good thing we accidentally went on "bracelet day" where kids can ride unlimited amount of times).

First Day of Pre-School

We have been talking about school all summer so when the day finally came they were so excited and could hardly wait.

Here they are all ready with their new backpacks.

We qualified for the bus service with our developmental speech delays which means the bus comes to the house picks them up and drops them off and oh they love riding the bus. They seem to enjoy school but all I hear daily is "I rode the bus"
